Background information about 'Unisonic'

When Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske share a record again, the metal world sits up straight. The two men who helped shape Helloween's golden era — the guitarist who wrote the riffs, the voice that made them soar — finally reunite here under the banner Unisonic, and the result is a debut that wears its pedigree proudly without ever feeling like a nostalgia trip. Opener "Unisonic" kicks the door in with a galloping riff and a chorus built for arena singalongs, and from there the record settles into a confident, melodic hard rock groove that suits Kiske's still-remarkable upper register perfectly.

There's real range on display. "Souls Alive" struts with a swaggering mid-tempo crunch, "Never Too Late" and "Star Rider" deliver the kind of soaring, harmony-drenched hooks that made this pair legends, while "Over The Rainbow" and the brooding "My Sanctuary" show a band unafraid to slow down and let a melody breathe. "Renegade" and "King For A Day" bring the punch back, and the closing "No One Ever Sees Me" stretches past six minutes, ending the album on a moody, almost cinematic note. It's polished, it's joyful, and it sounds like four musicians genuinely having fun together.
