The joint songwriting efforts of David, Matthias and Nils have forged a new sound for Heretoir, moving away from the dark grimness of their previous effort "Nightsphere" toward something more emotionally diverse yet equally powerful. The songs traverse an impressive range from Modern Metal to Black Metal, Post Rock to even Screamo elements, creating what is essentially pure melancholy with sparks of hope piercing through utter darkness.
