Background information about 'Lunatic Choir'
Night Shall Drape Us unleashes their devastating sophomore effort with "Lunatic Choir", a blackened maelstrom that tears through the very fabric of reality. This eight-track opus stands as a monument to atmospheric black metal brutality, where each composition serves as a chapter in humanity's descent into madness. The album opens with "Hymn of Rebellion", immediately establishing the band's mastery of creating suffocating soundscapes that feel both ancient and apocalyptic.
What sets "Lunatic Choir" apart is its perfect balance between raw aggression and haunting melody. Tracks like "Dead Eden" and "Ethereal Constrictor" showcase the band's ability to weave intricate guitar work through walls of blast beats, while "The Queen of the Red Streams" closes the album with an epic that's both beautiful and terrifying. The production captures every nuance of their sound - from the razor-sharp tremolo picking to the cavernous drum echoes that seem to emanate from the depths of hell itself.
