"Live in Oberhausen", the second live album by KANONENFIEBER, was recorded during the band's largest headlining show to date in Oberhausen, Germany. A total of 1,800 fans filled the sold-out Turbinenhalle II, taking part in a special evening during the tour supporting "Die Urkatastrophe". Sixteen out of the twenty European shows on this tour were sold out months in advance, marking yet another milestone for the band, which had played its first live show only 2.5 years earlier.

The setlist featured popular songs from their debut album "Menschenmühle", tracks from their subsequent EPs, and eight songs from "Die Urkatastrophe".

Discussing the background of their current studio album "Die Urkatastrophe", Noise of KANONENFIEBER stated:
"The First World War accelerated the path to modernity and is considered the 'Urkatastrophe' (primal catastrophe) of the 20th century, an era defined by war, violence, and displacement. Around 17 million people—soldiers and civilians alike—lost their lives, large parts of Europe were devastated, and unresolved conflicts remained, leading to further bloodshed. This album is dedicated to the victims of World War I, ensuring they are not forgotten. May their fates serve as a warning to all future generations, even more than 100 years later."

KANONENFIEBER’s black and death metal is not solely intended for entertainment but also serves to educate and raise awareness against the glorification of war. There is no glory in war. Everyone loses—their lives, their souls, their humanity. War is often reduced to abstract numbers and statistics; KANONENFIEBER aims to tell the stories of the nameless and faceless, providing a glimpse into their personal suffering—and, through that, the greater horrors inflicted upon mankind.
