Background information about 'Wild North West'
The Norwegian black 'n roll brigade Vreid returns with their ninth opus, "Wild North West," a conceptual journey that ventures into the heart of darkness and explores the raw wilderness of human emotions. The album unveils a narrative that is as gritty as it is compelling, incorporating elements of black metal and Viking metal into its storytelling tapestry. Each track acts as a chapter in this tale, offering listeners an unfiltered glimpse into the band's creative psyche.
The band has crafted an album that stands as both an auditory and visual experience. Accompanied by a film project that mirrors its themes, "Wild North West" pushes the boundaries of conventional album formats. With tracks like "Wolves At Sea" and "Into The Mountains," Vreid delivers an atmospheric soundscape layered with haunting melodies and visceral riffs. This release cements their position not just as musicians but as storytellers who weave epic narratives through music.
