Background information about 'Poison, Lust And Damnation'
Hexecutor's debut album "Poison, Lust and Damnation" stands as a monument to pure, unadulterated thrash metal fury that cuts through the modern metal landscape like a razor-sharp blade. Originally released on CD in 2016, this French thrash outfit delivered something increasingly rare in today's scene - an album that's both extremely consistent and relentlessly brutal from start to finish. The band's approach is refreshingly straightforward, channeling the primal energy of classic 80s thrash while maintaining their own distinct edge that feels both nostalgic and urgently contemporary.
What makes this album so compelling is its unwavering commitment to the thrash metal formula without falling into tired clichés or unnecessary experimentation. Every riff hits with surgical precision, every drum pattern drives the songs forward with unstoppable momentum, and the vocals deliver the kind of venomous aggression that made thrash metal such a powerful force in the first place. The production captures that perfect balance between raw energy and clarity, allowing each instrument to cut through the mix while maintaining the album's overall crushing impact.
