Background information about 'Burn Me Wicked'
Danish death metal veterans Illdisposed unleash their seventh studio beast with "Burn Me Wicked", a relentless assault that showcases why they've remained one of Scandinavia's most underrated extreme metal forces. This album burns with the intensity of a band that refuses to compromise, delivering crushing riffs and Bo Summer's signature growls that have defined their sound since the early '90s. The title track "Burn Me Wicked" stands as a monument to their craft, while tracks like "Shine Crazy" and "Fear The Gates" demonstrate their ability to blend melodic sensibilities with devastating heaviness.
What sets this release apart is its raw, unpolished energy that captures the band's live intensity. Songs like "Back To The Street" and "Throw Your Bolts" showcase their knack for memorable hooks wrapped in brutal packaging, while the inclusion of live versions of "Dark" and "Weak Is Your God" gives fans a taste of their commanding stage presence. The album flows seamlessly between crushing anthems and more introspective moments, proving that Illdisposed has mastered the art of dynamic songwriting without losing their edge.
