IMMORTAL · Immortal Complete Discography 1992-2023 | 11LP DELUXE BOX SET

Deluxe box set with 11 albums.

Background information about 'Immortal Complete Discography 1992-2023'

Thirty-one years of frostbitten Norwegian black metal, gathered in one place. This box set traces Immortal from the raw, wind-whipped beginnings of "Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism" in 1992 all the way to "War Against All" in 2023, and the sheer scope of it is staggering. Every studio album is here — "Pure Holocaust", "Battles in the North", "Blizzard Beasts", "At the Heart of Winter", "Damned in Black", "Sons of Northern Darkness", "All Shall Fall", "Northern Chaos Gods" — plus the live document "The Seventh Date of Blashyrkh", captured at Wacken Open Air in 2007.

What makes this collection so rewarding is hearing the band evolve without ever losing their frozen core. The early records are lean, hostile and gloriously primitive, all tremolo blizzard and cavernous howls. Then comes the turn toward something more monumental — longer compositions, sharper dynamics, a riff sensibility that reaches back into classic heavy metal while keeping the ice in the veins. "At the Heart of Winter" remains the hinge point, and hearing it in sequence with what came before and after is a revelation. The later chapters, with Demonaz stepping to the microphone, prove the flame still burns fiercely.

For anyone who has followed these Norwegians across the decades, this is the definitive shelf piece — a full journey through one of the most recognisable names in the genre's history, from the crypt to the mountain peak.
