Northern Chaos Gods isn't just a comeback; it's a goddamn avalanche that buries every doubt under miles of ice.

From the very first second of the title track, you know exactly where you are. That unmistakable, razor-sharp riffing — cold enough to crack stone — comes roaring back with a vengeance. Demonaz, stepping from behind the lyrics sheet to the frontlines on guitar and vocals, delivers a performance that's rawer, nastier, and somehow even more epic than anyone had a right to expect. Tracks like "Into Battle Ride" and "Gates to Blashyrkh" are pure Immortal DNA: relentless blastbeats married to those towering, anthemic riffs that make you want to raise a sword toward a snow-blind sky. Peter Tägtgren's production is absolutely massive — crystalline where it needs to be, filthy where it counts. And then there's "Mighty Ravendark", a nine-minute closer that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the band's most monumental epics. It's grim, it's dark, and it's absolutely triumphant.

What makes this record so special is that it doesn't try to reinvent the glacier — it simply reminds you why you fell in love with this kingdom in the first place. The spirit of Pure Holocaust and At the Heart of Winter courses through every frozen riff, yet it never feels like nostalgia-bait. This is Immortal reborn, hungry and utterly convinced of their own myth. Blashyrkh still stands.
