Background information about 'WAVES OVER COPENHELL'
When the cosmos aligned over Copenhagen's Copenhell Festival in 2023, Iotunn delivered a performance that transcended the earthly realm. "Waves Over Copenhell" captures that magical night when progressive metal met celestial grandeur, transforming a festival stage into a portal between dimensions. The Danish quintet's majestic compositions soared through laser-cut darkness, creating an atmosphere where time dissolved and metal became ritual.
This live recording stands as testament to Iotunn's ability to channel cosmic forces through crushing riffs and ethereal melodies. Mastered by the legendary Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios, every note resonates with the power that elevated thousands of metalheads into transcendental communion. From the crushing weight of "The Tower of Cosmic Nihility" to the haunting beauty of "Mistland", this isn't just a live album – it's a monument to progressive metal at its most sublime and devastating.
