Background information about 'Be And Exist'
Chile's Lucifer's Hammer return with their fourth full-length "Be and Exist", a masterful demonstration of why they've been such influential figures in the South American heavy metal scene since 2012. This album finds the band diving deeper into their cosmic themes while maintaining that signature sound that's been captivating metalheads worldwide - a perfect blend of '70s and '80s heavy metal with anthemic radio-ready hooks that never lose their underground edge. The production here is absolutely stellar, creating what feels like an iron fist lined with velvet that drives straight into the heart of mid-'80s metal magic.
What really strikes you about "Be and Exist" is how Lucifer's Hammer manages to channel the spirit of classic acts while creating something entirely their own. Founding frontman Hades delivers vocals that ring out through rain-soaked streets and back alleys, perfectly complemented by moody, emotive guitar leads that paint atmospheric landscapes. The album's attention-grabbing cover art perfectly captures the cosmic direction they're exploring, and every track feels like a carefully crafted anthem that builds upon their decade-plus legacy of pure passion and hunger for heavy metal excellence.
For fans of: Dokken, Heavy Pettin', Diamond Head, Europe, Witch Cross, Virgin Steele and '80s Kiss
