"Aruagint" from 2013 represents the band's third studio effort, while "Gastwerso" captures their mature sound from 2019. The project emerged when Thomas "Sarke" Bergli of Khold and Tulus decided to create a solo album, eventually expanding into a full band featuring keyboardist Anders Hunstad and the legendary Ted "Nocturno Culto" Skjellum from Darkthrone on vocals.

Sarke takes listeners through dark, atmospheric soundscapes that draw inspiration from metal's most revered acts. Their sound weaves together elements reminiscent of the Norwegian black metal scene while incorporating influences from classic heavy metal and doom. The band's debut "Vorunah" led to prestigious festival appearances including Wacken Open Air, where they shared the stage with Thomas Gabriel Fischer, plus slots at Inferno Festival and Brutal Assault. This compilation demonstrates how Sarke has maintained their distinctive approach to creating haunting, powerful metal that bridges different eras and subgenres.
