Background information about 'Gone With The Devil'

When Yoth Iria declared their intention to craft "a landmark album," they weren't just blowing smoke – they've delivered something genuinely spectacular with "Gone With The Devil". This third offering from the Hellenic black metal masters represents a quantum leap from their already impressive catalog, building on the foundations laid by 2021's "As The Flame Withers" and 2024's hypnotic "Blazing Inferno" to create something that feels both ancient and utterly contemporary.

The daemonic essence of Yoth Iria traces back to Rotting Christ's legendary 1993 debut "Thy Mighty Contract", where bassist Jim Mutilator first conjured this otherworldly entity. His journey through the Athenian underground – from founding Black Church in 1984 to his pivotal role in cult heroes Varathron – has culminated in this apocalyptic triptych of Hellenic black metal excellence. "Gone With The Devil" strikes that perfect balance between good and evil, harmony and dissonance, positioning Yoth Iria as serious contenders in extreme metal's premier league. Every track pulses with rebirth, tradition, and an unrelenting pursuit of musical transcendence that'll leave you breathless.
