Background information about 'Gone With The Devil'
Yoth Iria delivers their most commanding statement yet with "Gone With The Devil", a record that stands as a towering monument to Hellenic black metal mastery. This isn't just another album – it's a declaration of war against mediocrity, forged by veterans who know exactly how to channel decades of occult wisdom into crushing sonic warfare. The Attica quartet has outdone themselves here, crafting ten tracks that seamlessly blend the ancient mysticism of their homeland with razor-sharp modern production.
From the opening salvo of "Dare to Rebel" to the apocalyptic finale "Harut, Government, Fallen", every moment crackles with malevolent energy. The band's evolution from their impressive debut "As The Flame Withers" to 2024's hypnotic "Blazing Inferno" reaches its natural conclusion here – a perfect storm of atmospheric black metal that honors tradition while pushing boundaries. Jim Mutilator's legendary songwriting, honed through decades with Rotting Christ and Varathron, reaches new heights of darkness and complexity.
