Roman Sayenko's uncompromising vision, forged alongside his trusted collaborators, reconstructs the brutal testimonies from The Black Book of Kremenets Castle (1747–1777), turning centuries-old confessions into six movements of stark, immediate black metal that cuts straight to the bone.

From the devastating opener "Infanticide" through to the crushing finale "Verdicts", this album doesn't just tell stories – it channels the raw terror and desperation of those dark proceedings. Each track mirrors the psychological tension between confession and punishment, building an atmosphere so thick you can practically feel the castle walls closing in. Recorded at Viter Music with that signature spontaneous energy Windswept is known for, "The Devil's Vertep" fuses conceptual depth with primal black metal fury, while Obsidian Bone's haunting artwork perfectly captures the album's chilling essence.
