Background information about 'Interwoven'
UADA ventures into uncharted territory with "Interwoven", an acoustic journey that strips away the fury to reveal the haunting soul beneath their black metal foundation. This isn't just another unplugged experiment – it's a deliberate act of vulnerability that transforms familiar anthems into something entirely new. The album traces one song from each chapter of the band's discography, reimagining tracks like "Djinn" and "The Dark Winter" through atmospheric interpretations supported by cello and violin arrangements.
What emerges is a collection that challenges and comforts in equal measure, showcasing UADA's diverse influences that extend far beyond traditional black metal boundaries. The recording process itself was an act of spontaneity – no scripts, no rehearsals, just pure commitment to truth. Even the unexpected clean vocals on "Djinn" came from an improvised moment that sparked the foundation for this entire project. The album concludes with surprising covers of ROME's "Der Brandtaucher" and NIRVANA's "Something In The Way", proving that great art transcends genre limitations.
