Background information about 'Zerfall'
Ellende returns with "Zerfall", a devastating exploration of fragmentation and rebirth that stands as their most emotionally charged work to date. This upcoming full-length captures the Austrian atmospheric black metal masters at their creative peak, weaving together raw intensity with profound emotional depth in ways that will leave listeners breathless. The album portrays the state of being shattered into fragments and the slow, painful process of rebuilding oneself – a confrontation with the void that ultimately becomes a triumph over it.
Shaped by tragic personal events in the life of its mastermind, "Zerfall" represents a bold evolution in Ellende's already impressive catalog. Having achieved four official chart positions in Austria and Germany, plus over two million Spotify streams in the past year, the band continues to push boundaries while maintaining the atmospheric black metal excellence that has made them a force to be reckoned with across 120+ international shows.
