"Hammer Of Damnation" represents a time capsule from the early 1990s Finnish underground scene, when fanzines were the lifeblood of the death and black metal community. Founded in 1991 by Niko Sirkiä (also known as the vocalist of funeral doom pioneers Thergothon), this legendary zine ran for five issues over five years, featuring some of the most important and obscure bands of the era.

What makes this collection absolutely essential is the incredible roster of interviews and features - Mayhem, Burzum, Necromantia, Beherit (one of their very first interviews!), Samael, Autopsy, Unholy and countless lesser-known gems all graced these handmade pages. The zine evolved beautifully too, with later issues exploring industrial and electronic sounds through bands like Brighter Death Now, Mortiis, and Blood Axis. This hefty tome includes all five original issues plus personal reflections from Niko, the unfinished sixth issue, early newsletters and flyers from 1992-1997, giving you nearly 300 pages of pure underground history.
