Background information about 'Quantifying Cosmic Doom'

Soulburn delivers an absolutely crushing masterpiece with "Quantifying Cosmic Doom" that will leave you breathless and begging for more! This is extreme metal at its most refined and devastating – a sonic journey that seamlessly weaves together the brutal foundations of death metal with towering walls of melancholic doom and the fierce spiritual flames of black metal. Every track on this album is a testament to the band's masterful songwriting and their ability to push boundaries while staying true to their extreme roots.

The Dutch veterans have crafted something truly special here – an epic narrative that flows like molten metal through eleven tracks of pure sonic devastation. From the opening assault of "The Braveheart of Nightmares" to the haunting finale of "An Innocuous Swathe of Sky", each song showcases the band's incredible range and their confidence in their extreme craft. The production is absolutely pristine, allowing every crushing riff and atmospheric passage to hit with maximum impact. This isn't just another metal album – it's a dark and beautiful peak that represents everything Soulburn has worked toward since rising from the ashes of Asphyx back in 1996.
