Straight out of New Orleans, this band has been tearing up the extreme metal underground since their formation in 2020, and this LP captures every ounce of their chaotic, unhinged energy. What makes Manslayer so damn special is their refusal to play by anyone's rules. They've carved out this wild niche they call "Bimboviolence" or "Barbiecore" – a gloriously twisted mashup of hardcore, death grind, and power violence, all drenched in neon-bright Y2K-inspired visuals and absurdly catchy pop samples. It shouldn't work, but man, does it ever.
"Brat" is a relentless assault from the first note to the last. The riffs are razor-sharp, the rhythms are punishing, and just when you think you've got a handle on the chaos, they throw in a hook you can't shake.
