Background information about 'Live In Zeitz'
Holy hell, what a find! Mayhem's legendary 1990 German assault finally gets the definitive treatment it deserves on this crystal-clear pressing. "Live In Zeitz" captures the Norwegian black metal pioneers at their most ferocious - the classic lineup of Euronymous, Dead, Necrobutcher, and Hellhammer tearing through their most iconic tracks with the kind of chaotic intensity that made them legends.
This isn't just another bootleg rehash. The audio has been sourced from improved masters, delivering the raw, unfiltered brutality of tracks like "Deathcrush", "Funeral Fog", and the spine-chilling "The Freezing Moon" with unprecedented clarity while maintaining that essential live rawness. Every shriek from Dead, every crushing riff from Euronymous cuts through the mix like a blade. This is black metal history captured in its purest, most violent form - essential for anyone who understands the genre's dark genesis.
