Background information about 'Live at Roadburn'
Messa delivers one of the most electrifying live performances ever captured on vinyl with this stunning documentation of their 2022 Roadburn Festival triumph. The Italian doom visionaries brought their Mediterranean-infused darkness to the legendary Dutch festival with an expanded lineup that perfectly recreated the atmospheric depths of their acclaimed album "CLOSE".
This isn't just another live recording – it's a spiritual journey through crushing doom riffs intertwined with haunting Middle Eastern instrumentation. Featuring Giorgio Trombino on oud, duduk, and saxophone, Alex Fernet on mandolin and acoustic guitar, and Blak Saagan on synthesizers, Messa created a sonic tapestry that left the Roadburn audience completely mesmerized. Sara's commanding vocals soar over the heavy arrangements, creating moments of pure transcendence that showcase why Messa stands among the most innovative bands in modern doom metal.
