Background information about 'Too Fast For Love (45th Anniversary)'
Some debuts arrive fully formed. Others arrive like a brick through a window, and "Too Fast For Love" is very much the second kind. When Mötley Crüe scraped together their first record on a shoestring budget back in 1981, nobody was handing out record deals on a silver platter — they pressed it themselves, sold it out of the trunk of a car, and let the Sunset Strip do the talking. Four decades and change later, that scrappy, sneering, gloriously unpolished statement still hits like a shot of cheap whiskey at 3 a.m. The riffs are lean, the choruses are shameless, and Vince Neil sounds like he is grinning through every single line.
This 45th Anniversary Collection edition brings the whole thing back with a 2026 remaster, and honestly, that is the right way to do it. The remaster does not sand off the grit — it just turns up the volume on everything that made this band dangerous in the first place. You can hear the sleaze, the swagger, the leather-and-lipstick bravado that would go on to define an entire decade of hard rock. Tracks like the title cut and "Live Wire" still crackle with the kind of energy that cannot be faked or manufactured in a modern studio. It is raw, it is loud, and it is completely unapologetic.
For fans of: Guns N' Roses, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, W.A.S.P.
