Background information about 'In the Twilight Grey'

Swedish black metal legends Necrophobic return with their ninth studio album "In the Twilight Grey", delivering a masterclass in atmospheric extremity that showcases the band's evolution over three decades. The album seamlessly blends the band's signature melodic black metal approach with death metal brutality, creating an immersive sonic journey through darkness and despair. Standout tracks like "As Stars Collide" and the epic seven-and-a-half-minute "Shadows of the Brightest Night" demonstrate the band's ability to craft both crushing heaviness and haunting melodies.

The production on "In the Twilight Grey" strikes the perfect balance between clarity and rawness, allowing every tremolo-picked riff and blast beat to cut through the mix while maintaining that essential black metal atmosphere. The album's title track serves as a powerful closing statement, while bonus tracks including a cover of "The Torture Never Stops" add extra value to this release. Necrophobic proves once again why they remain one of Sweden's most consistent and influential extreme metal acts.

For fans of: Dissection, Watain, Dark Funeral, Marduk and Emperor
