Background information about 'Human. :II: Nature.'

Nightwish’s Human. :II: Nature. is a monumental achievement in symphonic metal, marking a bold new chapter for the band after the departure of Tarja Turini and the subsequent evolution of their sound. This double album is not just a collection of songs; it is a conceptual journey that explores the duality of human existence against the backdrop of nature’s raw power and beauty. The first disc, Human., delves into the complexities of the human psyche, with tracks like Music and Noise setting a tone that is both introspective and explosive. The band’s signature blend of heavy riffs, orchestral arrangements, and operatic vocals creates a soundscape that is both epic and intimate.

The second disc, Nature., takes the listener on a different path, focusing on the natural world and its awe-inspiring majesty. Tracks like All The Works Of Nature Which Adorn The World series offer a more atmospheric and experimental approach, showcasing the band’s versatility and willingness to push boundaries. The inclusion of classical elements and choral arrangements adds depth and texture, creating a rich tapestry of sound that is both haunting and beautiful. This album is a testament to Nightwish’s ability to evolve while staying true to their core identity, delivering a listening experience that is as emotionally resonant as it is musically sophisticated. It’s a must-have for fans of symphonic metal and anyone who appreciates the art of storytelling through music.
