Background information about 'Dreams D'Azur (Re-Issue)'
What happens when Italian prog-death-doom masters Novembre decide to completely reimagine their debut masterpiece? Pure magic, that's what. "Dreams D'Azur" isn't just a re-issue – it's a complete metamorphosis of their original "Wish I Could Dream it Again", transformed into something entirely new and breathtaking. This progressive classic showcases the band's evolution into deeper, more complex territories where death metal brutality meets ethereal beauty.
The extensive reworking involved original members Antonio Poletti on guitars and Thomas Negrini on keyboards, plus guest musician Fabio Fraschini handling bass duties. What started as a simple remix project became an ambitious re-recording session that birthed one of the finest prog-death-doom albums ever created. The atmospheric depth and emotional weight of tracks like "The Dream Of The Old Boats" and the epic three-part "Marea (Tide)" demonstrate why this album stands as a towering achievement in progressive metal.
