Background information about 'Void'
Omega Soul have been simmering in the depths of the German underground for a while now, and with "Void" they finally let the whole thing boil over. This is stoner rock the way it should feel: heavy, warm, and drenched in the kind of fuzz that makes your speakers sweat. From the very first riff you know exactly where you are - somewhere between a smoke-filled rehearsal room and a highway that leads nowhere in particular, and that is precisely the point.
The album opens with "Darkness Inside" and wastes no time establishing its groove. There is a hypnotic quality to these songs, a slow-burning momentum that pulls you under rather than knocking you down. "The Infinite Flesh" and "Shadows" stretch out into sprawling, riff-driven territory, while the rhythm section keeps everything locked into a head-nodding pulse. What sets this record apart is the space the band leaves in the arrangements - these are not just walls of distortion, there is actual breathing room, a sense of dynamics that rewards repeat listens. By the time you reach the closing "Seasons Of Fier", you have been taken on a proper journey, the kind that only a band completely in command of their sound can deliver.
