Background information about 'Create Or Die'
Wino returns with "Create Or Die", a powerful statement that showcases the legendary doom metal icon's unwavering commitment to heavy, soulful music. Known for his work with Saint Vitus, The Obsessed, and Spirit Caravan, Scott "Wino" Weinrich delivers another crushing collection of songs that blend his signature guitar tone with deeply personal lyrics. The album captures the essence of what makes Wino such a revered figure in the stoner and doom metal scenes – his ability to channel raw emotion through monumentally heavy riffs and his distinctive, weathered vocals.
"Create Or Die" stands as both a creative manifesto and a testament to Wino's enduring influence on heavy music. The album explores themes of artistic survival, personal struggle, and the relentless drive to create meaningful art in an increasingly challenging world. Each track builds upon decades of experience, offering listeners a mature perspective wrapped in the kind of crushing heaviness that has made Wino a legend. The production allows every nuance of his playing to shine through, from delicate acoustic passages to earth-shaking electric moments.
For fans of: Saint Vitus, The Obsessed, Spirit Caravan, Sleep, Electric Wizard, and Monolord
