Prestige are one of those bands that every thrash diehard should have on their radar, and Parasites In Paradise is exactly the kind of record that proves why. This is raw, unapologetic thrash metal the way it was meant to be played — fast, furious and dripping with attitude. From the very first seconds of the title track, the band locks into a groove that doesn't let up, riff after riff piling on top of each other with the kind of reckless energy that only Finnish thrashers seem to pull off this convincingly.

What makes this album so much fun is the sheer personality of it. Tracks like Crack Children and Sniff come charging out of the gate with a snarl, while Barbarella throws in a cheeky, off-kilter swagger that keeps things from ever getting predictable. The rhythm section is relentless, the solos are sharp and scrappy, and there's a punkish sneer running through the whole thing that gives it a wonderfully dirty edge. Too Greedy and From The Cradle To The Grave are pure headbangers, the kind of songs that make you want to throw yourself into a pit and not think twice. This remastered re-issue breathes new life into an underground gem that never got the attention it deserved the first time around, and it sounds absolutely vital in this form.
