Background information about '20/20'
Saga delivers another masterpiece with "20/20", an album that showcases the Canadian prog rock legends at their absolute finest. This collection of ten meticulously crafted tracks demonstrates why these masters of melodic progressive rock have maintained their devoted following for decades. From the haunting opener "Six Feet Under" to the epic six-minute journey of "Till The Well Runs Dry", every song pulses with the band's signature blend of sophisticated musicianship and accessible melodies that made them household names in the '80s.
The album perfectly balances Saga's progressive tendencies with their knack for memorable hooks, particularly evident in standout tracks like "Anywhere You Wanna Go" and "Spin It Again". Michael Sadler's distinctive vocals soar over intricate arrangements that showcase the band's technical prowess without sacrificing emotional impact. The production is crystal clear, allowing every nuance of their layered soundscapes to shine through. This isn't just another comeback album – it's a statement that Saga remains as relevant and vital as ever in the progressive rock landscape.
