Background information about 'Hideous Aftermath'
Ohio's most unhinged death metal maniacs Sanguisugabogg have outdone themselves with "Hideous Aftermath", a record that takes their signature brutality and cranks it up to absolutely monstrous levels. Produced by the legendary Kurt Ballou (known for his work with High on Fire and Nails), this album showcases the band's evolution while maintaining that gut-churning heaviness they're famous for. Tracks like "Rotten Entanglement" deliver the bone-crushing death metal you'd expect, but the real surprise comes with cuts like "Repulsive Demise," where the band ventures into industrial territory that'll leave your head spinning.
What makes this release even more special is the stellar lineup of guest appearances from members of Peeling Flesh, Full of Hell, and Cattle Decapitation - talk about a death metal dream team! "Hideous Aftermath" doesn't just meet expectations; it completely demolishes them with a sound that's both primal and experimental. This isn't just another death metal album - it's a statement that Sanguisugabogg refuses to be boxed in, delivering raw, relentless brutality that's unapologetically grotesque and absolutely addictive.
