Let's rewind to 2001. Death Metal was in a sorry state, watered down, lacking that filthy spark that once made the genre so gloriously vile. Then came MURDER SQUAD. Spawned from the putrid loins of Swedish death metal royalty — members of ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, and MERCILESS — this four-headed beast had one mission: to drag the scene back into the gutter. And by god, they succeeded.

Ravenous Murderous, their second full-length from 2003, is nothing short of a glorious, rotting masterpiece. While their debut wore its AUTOPSY influence on its sleeve, this album feels like stumbling upon a lost AUTOPSY record you never knew existed. The legendary Chris Reifert himself even stepped into the studio, contributing vocals, guitars, and drums — and you can hear it in every foul, grooving riff. The production is raw, the atmosphere is thick with decay, and the lyrics are so deliciously politically incorrect they'd make today's moral guardians choke on their oat milk lattes.

Adorned with a disgustingly beautiful cover by the late, great Timo Ketola, this is Death Metal that breathes, sweats, and reeks of the grave. Finally unleashed on vinyl for the very first time, mastered by Patrick W. Engel at Temple of Disharmony. This is the real fucking deal.
