Background information about 'Serpentine Path'
When doom metal titans unite, the earth trembles. Serpentine Path's self-titled debut emerges as a monolithic testament to crushing heaviness, born from the unholy alliance of Unearthly Trance mastermind Ryan Lipynsky and Electric Wizard drummer Tim Bagshaw. This eight-track odyssey doesn't just play doom – it becomes doom, transforming every riff into a seismic event that reverberates through your very bones.
From the opening salvo of "Arrows" to the apocalyptic finale "Only A Monolith Remains", this album crafts a sonic landscape so dense and oppressive it feels like being buried alive in molten tar. Tracks like "Crotalus Horridus Horridus" and "Beyond The Dawn Of Time" showcase the duo's mastery of atmosphere, where every note hangs in the air like smoke from ancient funeral pyres. The production captures every nuance of their downtuned devastation, allowing the bass frequencies to penetrate deep into your chest cavity while the guitars carve canyons through your consciousness.
