SOILWORK · The Ride Majestic | GOLD 2LP

Gold double-vinyl.

Background information about 'The Ride Majestic'

There are albums that hit you right in the gut, and then there's The Ride Majestic – a record that doesn't just hit, it lingers. Soilwork have always had this knack for blending razor-sharp melodic death metal with an almost anthemic sense of melody, but here they took it to another level entirely. Released in 2015, this album arrived on the heels of personal tragedy for vocalist Björn "Speed" Strid, and you can feel every ounce of that weight and catharsis pouring through the speakers.

From the opening title track, a sprawling, dynamic beast that shifts from crushing riffs to soaring clean vocals, to the melancholic beauty of "Father And Son, Watching The World Go Down," this is Soilwork at their most emotionally charged. Tracks like "Death In General" and "Petrichor By Sulphur" deliver the signature Swedish aggression with airtight precision, while "The Phantom" and "Whirl Of Pain" explore darker, more atmospheric territories. The production is massive, every guitar harmony cutting through like a blade wrapped in velvet. It's heavy, it's haunting, and it's surprisingly beautiful – a testament to a band refusing to rest on their laurels.
