Background information about 'Jealous Lover (V10)'
There are records that stop you dead in your tracks, and then there's The Rolling Stones doing what they do best — serving up raw, unfiltered rock'n'roll that feels like it's been beamed straight from the swaggering seventies. "Jealous Lover (V10)" is exactly that kind of treasure. It's the Stones at their most visceral, with Jagger snarling through a tale of obsession and desire like only he can, while Keith's riffs cut through the air like a switchblade. This isn't polished studio perfection — this is the sound of a band that's been breathing rock'n'roll for decades, still hungry, still dangerous.
The track breathes that unmistakable mid-tempo Stones groove, with Charlie Watts locking in a rhythm that's both loose and impossibly tight, while Bill Wyman's basslines rumble underneath like a coming storm. It's a deep cut that deserves way more spotlight than it's ever gotten — a reminder that even the B-sides and rarities from these guys can outshine most bands' greatest hits. For anyone who's ever dug through the crates looking for that one missing piece of the Stones puzzle, this is it. Pure, unadulterated rock magic on black wax.
