Background information about 'Set Sail To Mystery'

The Vision Bleak return with their 2010 masterpiece, "Set Sail to Mystery", a gripping exploration of gothic horror wrapped in symphonic and death metal influences. This album plunges listeners into a world where the eerie meets the epic, weaving intricate tales of supernatural dread and existential musings. With an audial landscape that masterfully balances darkness with melody, The Vision Bleak crafts each track as a haunting narrative, drawing inspiration from classic gothic literature and Lovecraftian horrors.

From the thunderous opening of "A Curse of the Grandest Kind," which sets the ominous tone for the entire album, to the chilling orchestral swells in "Mother Nothingness (The Triumph Of Ubbo Sathla)," every composition on this album is meticulously structured. The dual vocals add layers of depth and emotion, while the instrumentation - particularly their use of strings alongside traditional metal elements - creates an atmosphere both grandiose and unsettling. As each song unfolds like chapters in a grim novel, listeners are invited to delve into realms of shadowy beauty.
