Background information about 'Unchained'
The thunder god himself returns with a vengeance! Thor unleashes "Unchained" – a searing testament to raw power and theatrical metal mastery that'll leave you breathless and begging for more. Originally released in 1983, this beast of an album showcases Jon Mikl Thor at his most ferocious, delivering six tracks of pure adrenaline-fueled mayhem that bridges the gap between classic heavy metal and the emerging harder sound of the '80s.
From the lightning-strike opener "Lightning Strikes" to the crushing finale "Death March", every moment crackles with electricity. The legendary strongman-turned-metal-god flexes his vocal muscles alongside a killer lineup featuring Pantera on backing vocals, Karl Cochran's scorching lead guitar work, and a rhythm section that hits harder than Thor's famous strongman feats. This isn't just metal – it's a full-contact sport wrapped in leather and denim, with enough theatrical bombast to make Alice Cooper jealous.
