Background information about 'Rengeteg'

"Rengeteg," the fifth full-length album by Thy Catafalque, marks a pivotal moment in the project's evolution, showcasing an eclectic fusion of metal, folklore, rock, and pop influences. This solo endeavor by Tamás Kátai defies genre boundaries, creating a soundscape that shifts between delicate crystalline structures and powerful, dark sonic landscapes. Originally emerging from the black metal scene with their debut "Sublunary Tragedies," Thy Catafalque has continuously evolved, garnering acclaim from both critics and fans through subsequent releases like "Microcosmos," "Tuno ido tárlat," and "Róka hasa radio." With its mature songwriting and intricate details, "Rengeteg" enchants listeners with its pure musical magic.

The album features guest vocals by Ágnes Tóth of The Moon And The Nightspirit and Attila Bakos of Woodland Choir and Taranis, with cello contributions from Mihály Simkó-Várnagy. For enthusiasts of avant-garde metal acts such as Solefald, Arcturus, Blut Aus Nord, and Ulver, "Rengeteg" presents an engaging listening experience enhanced by Tamas Katai's artwork and layout inspired by Rui Luz's graphic works.
