Background information about 'Digital Dream Sequence'
Trioscapes delivers an absolutely mind-bending journey through progressive fusion territory with "Digital Dream Sequence", an album that pushes the boundaries of what instrumental music can achieve. This powerhouse trio, featuring the incredible bass work of Dan Briggs from Between The Buried And Me, creates a sonic landscape that's both technically stunning and emotionally captivating. Each track flows seamlessly into the next, building a cohesive narrative that takes listeners from ethereal dreamscapes to crushing rhythmic assaults.
The opening title track "Digital Dream Sequence" sets the tone with its intricate interplay between bass, drums, and saxophone, while "Stab Wounds" showcases the band's heavier side without sacrificing their jazz-fusion sensibilities. "From The Earth To The Moon" is pure progressive bliss, featuring soaring melodies that build to explosive climaxes. The album's dynamic range is absolutely incredible – from the haunting atmospherics of "Hysteria" to the jungle-like rhythmic complexity of the closing track "The Jungle", every moment demands attention.
