Background information about 'Dreams & Limitations'
When Northern English melancholia meets Portuguese Fado at the crossroads of emotion, Sleeping Pulse delivers something truly extraordinary with "Dreams & Limitations". This sophomore effort from the duo of Antimatter's Mick Moss and Portuguese guitarist Luís Fazendeiro is a masterclass in how to transform existential pain into breathtaking sonic landscapes. Where many bands stumble into self-pity, Sleeping Pulse crafts something far more profound – music that doesn't just acknowledge suffering but transforms it into something beautiful and cathartic.
More than a decade has passed since "Under the Same Sky" graced our turntables, and this follow-up proves the wait was worth every moment. Built on a foundation of doomy progressive rock with post-rock sensibilities, "Dreams & Limitations" ventures into territory that's both familiar and refreshingly new. Each track flows like a conversation between two old friends who've weathered life's storms together, creating music that carries your burdens while offering genuine comfort and hope.
