Background information about 'Violent Mosh'
Formed in 2002 in Brasília, Violator quickly emerged as one of the leading bands of the new wave of thrash metal. Their debut EP, "Violent Mosh," released in 2004, set the stage for what was to become their signature sound: a relentless blend of old-school thrash reminiscent of the golden era's titans like Exodus and Sepultura. High Roller Records' reissue captures Violator's energy and dedication to the genre, showcasing their ability to blend fierce riffs with a hardcore edge. Their music exudes a raw intensity that is both nostalgic and refreshingly new.
"Violent Mosh" is more than just an EP; it's a declaration of passion for thrash metal. The six tracks transport listeners into a world where aggressive tempos meet socio-political consciousness, crafting an auditory experience that is both powerful and thought-provoking. With tracks like "Let The Violation Begin" and "Thrash Maniacs," the album captures the essence of live performances that have garnered them support slots with international giants like Destruction. This release not only honors their roots but also cements their place in the modern thrash scene.
