Background information about 'Loon'
Abrams have unleashed something absolutely ferocious with "Loon" – and honestly, it's about time someone channeled this level of raw fury into something so musically devastating. Gone are the days of their more ethereal ambiance; Denver's finest have absorbed the grinding hopelessness of our current chaos and transformed it into pure sonic catharsis. This isn't just another post-metal release – it's a manifesto wrapped in blistering riffs and desperate screams.
The band's evolution from the nostalgic textures of "Blue City" to this shattering intensity feels like watching a flower bloom in reverse, petals falling away to reveal thorns beneath. Those crystalline melodies that once soared now twist into dissonance, inhabited by a bitterness that cuts deep. Yet somehow, Abrams haven't lost their instinctive hooks – they've just weaponized them. When those hopeful moments do break through the storm, they hit with the force of sunlight piercing storm clouds, making the contrast even more powerful.
