Here it is, folks — the unholy grail of Halloween-obsessed doom, back from the grave and ready to melt your face off. Acid Witch don't just play stoner doom, they are stoner doom, and Stoned is the album that put these Michigan maniacs on the map. From the very first notes of the eerie organ intro "Satanic Faith," you know you're in for something special — a record that smells like pumpkin guts, bonfire smoke, and the kind of weed that makes you see ghosts.

What makes this album so damn irresistible is how effortlessly it balances crushing heaviness with pure, unadulterated fun. "Witchfynder Finder" kicks in with riffs so thick you could carve them, while those classic horror movie synths swirl around like Vincent Price himself is conducting the madness. Acid Witch have this uncanny ability to make death-doom sound like a Halloween party at the end of the world. "Trick or Treat" is the anthem you didn't know you needed — groove-laden, catchy as hell, and dripping with that signature tongue-in-cheek horror worship. And can we talk about "Thundering Hooves"? An instrumental interlude that somehow manages to be both majestic and completely unhinged, galloping straight into "Live Forever," a track that'll have you raising your lighter (or your bong) to the sky.

The back half doesn't let up one bit. "If Hell Exists" slows things to a funeral march before "Stoned to the Grave" — possibly the most perfectly titled song in doom history — delivers riff after riff of pure Sabbath-worshipping bliss. Then there's "Metal Movie Marijuana Massacre Meltdown," which is exactly as ridiculous and glorious as it sounds, before the epic closer "Sabbath of the Undead" wraps everything up in a fog of campfire horror and crushing doom. This is the album that plays in the background while you carve jack-o'-lanterns with a chainsaw.
