Product information "AGRYPNIE · Erg | BLACK DLP"

Black double vinyl in gatefold sleeve.

Background information about 'Erg'

Agrypnie unleashes their seventh full-length masterpiece with "Erg", a devastating black metal opus that showcases the German band's relentless evolution. Following their chart-conquering "Metamorphosis" which peaked at #29 on the German album charts and earned Metal Hammer's recognition as one of 2021's top 5 black metal releases, this new offering pushes their atmospheric darkness to unprecedented heights. The eight tracks weave a tapestry of haunting melodies and crushing brutality, with songs like "Aus rauchlosem Feuer" and "Stunde des Wolfes" demonstrating the band's mastery of both ferocious aggression and melancholic introspection.

The album's conceptual depth matches its sonic intensity, exploring themes of existential dread and spiritual transformation through German lyrics that cut straight to the soul. From the tempestuous "Sturm" to the ghostly finale "Geister", each composition builds upon Agrypnie's signature blend of atmospheric black metal with post-metal sensibilities. With drum recordings for their eighth album already completed, the band continues their prolific streak while maintaining the artistic integrity that has defined their extensive discography across nine releases.
