Recorded at Music Farm Studio deep in the Byron Bay hinterland, the sessions tapped into something primal. The studio houses the original Neve console from Alberts Studios — the very desk where AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, and The Angels cut their legendary early albums. You can feel that heritage coursing through every riff on this record. Reuniting with producer Brian Howes and engineer Mike Fraser, the band have crafted an album where drums hit like cannons and guitars slice through the mix like buzzsaws, all polished to perfection by mixer Zakk Cervini. From the defiant roar of "Gutsy" to the fist-pumping anthem "Last Man Standing", this is music built for the open road, for dive bars, for stages drenched in blinding light. "Alive After Death (Last Plane Out)" and the barnstorming "Send Me To Rock'N'Roll Heaven" pay raucous tribute to fallen idols — Lemmy, Bon Scott, John Bonham, Little Richard, and more — celebrating the immortality that great music bestows. Then there's the swaggering "Bogotá", a road tale ripped straight from the tour diary, and "Sky High", which needs no further explanation. This is Airbourne at the peak of their powers, and they know it.
