Finnish metal legends Amorphis deliver another stunning chapter in their illustrious career with "Queen Of Time", an album that perfectly balances their progressive tendencies with crushing melodic death metal foundations. This masterpiece showcases the band's incredible ability to weave mythology and modern storytelling into a sonic tapestry that's both brutal and beautiful. Tracks like "The Bee" and "Message In The Amber" demonstrate their signature approach of combining Tomi Joutsen's growling vocals with Esa Holopainen's mesmerizing guitar work, creating atmospheres that transport listeners to ancient Finnish forests while keeping feet firmly planted in contemporary metal excellence.

The album's second half proves equally captivating, with "Amongst Stars" and "Pyres On The Coast" showcasing the band's knack for crafting epic compositions that never overstay their welcome.
