Product information "EISREGEN · Grenzgänger | DARK GREEN 2LP"

Dark green double vinyl in gatefold cover.

Background information about 'Grenzgänger'

Eisregen returns with "Grenzgänger", a haunting journey through the darkest corridors of extreme metal that showcases the German masters at their most uncompromising. This double LP serves as both a testament to their enduring legacy and a bold step forward into even more sinister territories. The band weaves together their signature blend of blackened death metal with theatrical storytelling that feels like stepping into a gothic nightmare come to life.

The album's conceptual framework explores themes of boundary-crossing and liminal spaces, with tracks like "Vorposten" and the title track "Grenzgänger" establishing an atmosphere of dread that permeates every groove. Songs such as "Als ich noch Kinder fraß" and "Die Frau im Turm" demonstrate the band's ability to craft narratives that are both disturbing and compelling. The seasonal cycle concluding the album – from "Kadaverfrühling" through "Wintersabbat" – represents some of their most ambitious songwriting to date, creating a musical tapestry that's as beautiful as it is terrifying.
