Background information about 'Tapes From The Crypt'
French metalheads Animalize deliver pure adrenaline with their explosive mini-album "Tapes From The Crypt" – a blazing testament to the golden age of heavy metal that'll make your speakers weep tears of molten steel! This isn't just nostalgia; it's a full-throttle resurrection of mid-'80s metal glory, complete with razor-sharp riffs and vocals that could wake the dead from their crypts. The band's cinematic obsessions shine through every track, drawing inspiration from cult classics like Evil Dead and Mad Max to create a sonic landscape that's equal parts headbanging fury and B-movie brilliance.
What sets this release apart is Animalize's ability to channel that authentic '80s magic without falling into cheap imitation territory. Tracks like "Chainsaw & Boomstick" and "Meatnight Race" showcase their knack for crafting radio-ready anthems that still pack enough punch to level a small building. The French duo "Sous l'Oeil du Charognard" and "L'Aigle de la Route" add an intriguing continental flavor to their speed metal assault, proving these guys aren't just copying their heroes – they're creating their own legend.
