Background information about 'The Beginning'

"The Beginning" by Mercyful Fate is an essential addition to any heavy metal enthusiast's collection, showcasing the band's formative years with original pre-album sessions that have been meticulously remastered for this release. The compilation features the legendary "Rave-On" session tracks, renowned for their raw and intense energy that would later define the band's iconic sound.

In addition to these foundational tracks, the album includes rare recordings from the BBC's "Friday Rock Show" sessions, capturing the band at a pivotal moment of their evolution.
