Background information about 'The Upcoming Terror'

"The Upcoming Terror" by Assassin is a monumental piece of Teutonic thrash metal that charges forward with relentless intensity. The album opens with "Forbidden Reality," setting the stage for an auditory onslaught characterized by ferocious riffs and aggressive vocals. As each track unfolds, listeners are propelled into a whirlwind of speed and precision that showcases the band's virtuosic interplay. Deeply embedded in the gritty ethos of 1980s metal, Assassin's debut conjures images of raw energy and unyielding power.

While every song on this record contributes to its dynamic force, cuts like "Nemesis" and "Holy Terror" stand out as exemplars of thrash mastery. The band navigates complex rhythms with ease while maintaining a visceral edge that is both captivating and merciless. Originally recorded at Karo Musikstudio and brought back to life through meticulous remastering at Temple Of Disharmony, this reissue offers aficionados a chance to experience one of the genre's seminal works anew.
